Cheap Thrills is a record club based in Montpelier, Vermont. We get together every so often to listen to a vinyl record nobody in the group has ever listened to or even heard of before. While we are listening, we write reviews in Haiku form ( what you see here). Enjoy!

Cemeteries - The Wilderness
Slow motion dreaming
From the bedroom to the depths
Underwater sight
Asleep on the shore
The waves sing me lullabies
Nature's brilliant dream
If we never throw
off the mantle of snow, will
your voice still echo?
A million- mile stare
A memory of driving
Snow cold as it melts
I love the organ,
It's a cold weather album,
easy hip-no-teek
Floating on my back
Ocean is drifting away
The moon rides the tide
November twilight
Soft bones turn and crumble slow
Cold ear on the ground
Following others
Path is like entering a
dark room without light
The first have sparkled
Underneath higher plucking vows
Scratched clean from old hope
Fabrication poems
Programs movement
Jangle of love songs
Remembrance things past
Boundary
Life
Death
Gateway, Cemetery
Dark side of whose moon?
seems to be a calling out loud
Loop the blue eyes, boy
Chat instant muted
Drowned by the white ascension
of your sounds of trees
Comfort in letting
the periphery blur by
knowing heart is true
Instruments weaved up
tight like an orange blanket
napping through winter

The Resonars - That Evil Drone
Yell through dryer lint
Shake hard a can full of bells
Thumping heart break free
Shimmering guitars
Play themes from bygone sitcoms
Could have fooled me
Bright sounds of Britain
The Invasion come again
By way of Cali.
Telecaster waves
surfing my inspirations
pulling my heartstrings
Melodic tin crash
Can you really feel so good?
Old wave still crashing.
Polished new penny
the twinge already minted
still bright in my teeth.
Twisted Ringo smile
Have another smoke then we'll
dance through Caldor's
Inquisitive wave
riding a Davies tidal
straight out the garage
New aqua toaster
90 dollar Sears 6 string
ready to jangle
